    Itinerary

Cooking class – Where Vietnamese and Indian Flavors Meet

    Overview

In the middle of lush green rice fields, where the breeze carries the soft scent of earth and grass, cooking becomes more than just preparing food — it becomes a journey.

Here, every ingredient tells a story: herbs grown in harmony with the seasons, vegetables picked fresh from the garden,, and spices passed down through generations.

You’ll cook in an open-air kitchen, surrounded by the calm rhythm of the countryside, where time feels slower and moments feel fuller.
The quiet focus of creating something with your own hands, and the joy of tasting what you’ve made all blend into an experience that lingers long after the day ends.
It’s not simply a cooking class — it’s a gentle immersion into the flavors, traditions, and heartfelt hospitality of rural Vietnam.
A place where food is memory, and every memory is savored.

    🗓️ Itinerary (4 hours)

08:30 / 13:30 – We welcome you at the hotel and transfer you by private car, before setting off on a gentle ride into the heart of the countryside. The city slowly fades behind, replaced by winding village paths, rice paddies shimmering in the morning light, and the quiet rhythm of the countryside. Along the way, stories unfold about the soul of Vietnamese cuisine – light, fresh, harmonious – and its kindred spirit in India’s love for bold spices and fragrant herbs.

09:15 / 14:15 – Our first stop is a charming restaurant overlooking an endless stretch of green rice fields. Over a warm cup of tea, you meet the banana plant – a lifelong companion in every Vietnamese village. Every part of it has a purpose: blossoms for salads, trunks for cooking, leaves for wrapping, roots for medicine. You may find yourself smiling at the familiarity – just like the banana leaves carrying festive meals and blessings in India.

10:00 / 15:00 – Back on the bicycles, we ride to a lively local market. Here, plastic bags are nowhere to be seen – everything is wrapped in fresh green banana leaves. You wander through the bustling stalls, tasting sun-sweet tropical fruits, breathing in the fragrance of coriander, lemongrass, turmeric… spices that feel both familiar and new. Friendly vendors greet you with warm smiles, eager to share the flavors of their homeland.

11:15 / 16:15 – The path leads us to a peaceful organic garden. Rows of herbs and vegetables sway gently in the breeze. The farmer shares how each plant is grown naturally, in harmony with the seasons – a rhythm of life not so different from the spice fields of rural India.

12:30 / 17:30 – Time to cook! In an open-air kitchen, under the guidance of a local chef, you prepare a menu that blends the heart of Vietnamese home cooking with a touch of Indian warmth:

Fresh Spring Rolls or Banana Blossom Salad – crisp, fresh, and full of herbs.

Chicken Curry or Vegetarian Curry – Indian-inspired spices with local Vietnamese ingredients.

Bánh Xèo – golden, crispy turmeric pancakes.

Crispy Fried Meat with Mashed Potatoes – a playful East-meets-East twist.

Seasonal Tropical Fruits – sweet and refreshing.

Make Your Own Herbal Drink or Butterfly Pea Flower Tea – your own signature blend.

13:30 / 18:30 – The table is set. You share the meal you’ve just created, savoring each bite under the soft afternoon light. To end the day, soak your feet in a warm herbal bath – an old Vietnamese ritual to relax the body and quiet the mind. A fragrant farewell to a day where two culinary worlds became one.
